“Jackson is one of the most dynamic and exciting live performers of his generation” - Folk Radio
Luke Jackson is a young singer songwriter from Kent in the UK who has been touring round the UK and northern Europe into pubs, bars, house concerts and folk & blues clubs, venues and festivals for over 10 years.
Luke’s songwriting draws on his experiences, family life, poignant stories he’s been told. His performance style and songwriting skills are constantly developing and improving as confirmed by him winning the Male Artist Of The Year from Fatea in 2014 and 2016 and being nominated in 2013 for the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Best Emerging Talent and Young Folk Categories.
An accomplished performer who impresses from the outset and takes his audience on a journey with songs of love, hope, sorrow, and melancholy via the styles of folk, roots, blues, Americana and soul.
Whether performing solo, as a duo with bass or drums, or as a trio with both, Luke can fill rooms, with people feeling refreshed and impressed by the ‘originality’ of the sound and shocked with his ‘full’ and ‘complete’ sound and the ability to have the crowd, clapping, stomping and singing along.
Luke also headlines with other artists such as Grammy award winning Amy Wadge, NBCs The Voice star Rebecca Loebe and Folk Award winning duo Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar.
Luke’s has opened for Fairport Convention, Glen Tillbrook, Martyn Joseph, Paul Brady, Seth Lakeman, Marillion and The Oysterband among others. In November 2019 Luke put out 5th studio album; Journals, which is a recording of 10 self penned songs in Luke’s now trademark style, along with one timeless cover.
