Jean Lenke’s CD Release Concert! Jean Therapy Jazz
Crossover Jazz, Folk & Fusion vocalist Jean Lenke has been creating diverse music in the Philadelphia area for many years and will launch her first album project, RESTLESS, this December at Jamey’s House of Music in Lansdowne, Philadelphia, PA.
Inspired by classic Jazz, Be Bop & Folk artists and musical genres that span Jazz, Folk, & Fusion, Jean has a magical voice, creative approach, and always presents an eclectic mix of music; familiar, yet slightly off center.
“Everything I know about music, I learned here. Philly taught me to sing, to write, and to fly free. When I realized I was moving west to Seattle, I knew I had to record my experiences here, before I left. Sometimes you just need to get off the couch and go for it!”
RESTLESS is as diverse as Jean is, including original material by Jean, Philly songwriters James Soloman and Danie Ocean, and Canadian pianist David R. Miller, as well as classic standards and new interpretations of Joni Mitchel, Steely Dan and June Carter Cash favorites! Recorded at Morning Star Studios, Jean and her studio team have created a unique experience, infuse with rhythm & energy. Studio musicians include Tom Lawton on keys, Fostina Dixon, sax, Kevin Hanson, guitar, Jim Stager, bass & Erik Johnson on drums.
