PHILLY GUMBO

 For more than three decades Philly Gumbo has been bringing its unique mix of New Orleans R & B, blues, funk, soul and reggae to East Coast audiences. It is groove music that inevitably leads to dancing. We’ve played such major venues and festivals as World Cafe Live, The Kimmel Center, The Atlantic City Summer Music Festival, Jam On The River, The Sellersville Theater, SOB’S, Musikfest, The Media Blues Stroll, The Queen Theater, Oktoberfest in Philadelphia, and many more. Philadelphia Magazine has twice made Philly Gumbo a “best band” selection in their annual “Best of Philadelphia” issue.  We’ve released one CD, “Come And Get It” and contributed an original song to the compilatio CD  “Seasons Greetings From Philadelphia”.  A Philly Gumbo show is the next best thing to being at Tipitina’s  or JazzFest in New Orleans!
